Meet our curly girl Irisa from Albania in Europe! Irisa used to bleach her hair excessively, but now, she is embracing all things natural. This includes her beautiful curls and the products she uses on them. She loves to keep her routine simple with nourishing products from our range! And as you can see, her curls are loving it. 

The Journey

What inspired you to return natural?

My name is Irisa. I'm from Albania in Europe. I started the curly girl method in 2016. Before that my hair was very damaged. I bleached my hair for years and it didn't curl anymore. The only products that I used for my hair were a random shampoo and a mousse. After that, I started my healthy hair journey. For me, in the beginning, it was very difficult to find products curly girl approved. And there weren't any Albanian curly influencers to find more information about this method or products.

The only way to find the information was from YouTube or Google but in English. The most challenging thing was finding products that would work for my fine hair without chemicals that were reasonably priced. Most of the international brands didn't ship to Albania. I stopped bleaching my hair and I started to try different products and methods.

The transition was challenging for me. I started to take care of my hair despite the difficulties. I love my hair and I wanted it to be healthy and curly again. I remember how curly my hair was when I was a kid.

I decided to open my own Instagram page to help my curly friends to take care of their curls.

What were the challenges (if any) along the way of your healthy hair journey?

My challenges were to find curly girl-approved products and information. Also, frizz was a challenge of mine, and understanding what my hair wanted. I found that deep conditioning once a week and protecting my curls at night was helpful.

Be patient with your hair. Love it and take care of it.

I found your Instagram page from other influencers and started to follow. I was so excited because all the ingredients were natural and were exactly the products that I was looking for, for my fine hair.

How did you see your hair change after using Flora & Curl products?

Immediately after I did my first wash. My hair was shiny with volume and a lot of definition.
